Every zone is labelled Verified or Estimated, and the two are never mixed.

• Verified — Geotab is already tracking stops for this zone ("Identify stops made in this zone" is turned on for it). This page reads those exact records, so visits here — including arrival and departure times — match Geotab's own Zone Visits reports.
• Estimated — no stop tracking is set up, so visits are worked out from trip history instead: a trip that ends inside the zone opens a visit, which stays open until the next trip starts. Close to Geotab's numbers, but not guaranteed to match exactly.

To turn an estimated zone into a verified one, switch on stop tracking for it in MyGeotab — Geotab then keeps its own records for that zone from then on. This page never changes that setting, or anything else in your database.

• A vehicle parked in one spot for over a week may not show up. Its arrival trip falls outside the 7-day history this page loads for estimated zones. Verified zones aren't affected — Geotab's own record carries the true arrival no matter how long ago it was.
• Boundary calls can occasionally differ from a verified zone. This page checks a trip's single recorded stop point against the outline, not the full GPS track — and any GPS-based check has a few metres of natural fuzziness.

• One stop is one visit — nothing is merged. If a vehicle shuffles between two docks in the same yard, that's two visits, exactly as Geotab reports it.
• Driving through a zone without stopping isn't a visit, matching Geotab's own reports.
• Times are real, not clamped to your date range. A visit that started earlier still shows its true arrival, tagged before range.
• A parked vehicle stays "inside." With the ignition off there's no GPS and no trip data, so silence means "still there," not "left."

Each visit shows the driver assigned at the time. For verified zones that's the driver Geotab recorded on the stop itself; for estimated zones it's the driver of the trip that ended there, covering both driving in and parking there earlier. No driver assigned shows as Unassigned. The "inside now" list always uses each vehicle's current driver.

The more vehicles in scope, the more history has to load, so the maximum date range depends on your selection — fewer vehicles unlocks a longer range. Viewing a single vehicle or driver always allows up to 180 days.
